This competition is open from 10.00 on 19 April 2019 to 17.00 on 22 April 2019.
To enter the competition, entrants must suggest a nickname for Locomotion’s operational Class 03 diesel shunter D2090.
This is a nickname only and will not be permanently given or applied to the vehicle in any way.
The winning nickname will be chosen by a panel of judges from Locomotion on 23 April.
The Head of Locomotion’s decision on this is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
Entries must be made either by commenting on the competition post on Locomotion’s Facebook or Twitter coverage or by completing an entry form at the Collection Building, Locomotion, Shildon DL4 2RE.
The prize consists of a Locomotion goody bag, plus a voucher for unlimited free rides on Locomotion’s passenger railway for two adults, valid until 30 April 2020 and excluding Flying Scotsman and Santa services.
The winner must collect their prize from Locomotion, Shildon DL4 2RE.
The prize cannot be exchanged and a cash alternative will not be provided.
Employees of the Science Museum Group and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
