For three nights only, visit the museum after-hours to experience a spectacular light display as part of Lumiere, the UK’s landmark light art festival.
Lumiere is recognised internationally as the UK’s light art biennial and this November is extra special as it comes to Locomotion for the first time. This year’s ‘Spotlight on Durham’ will celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Stockton & Darlington Railway, and Shildon’s crucial role in railway history.
Brand new commissions will reflect Shildon’s inspiring contribution to the railways and Lumiere’s light festival will bring the inspiring history of Locomotion to life.
