A monthly programme of talks and presentations, in association with the Friends of the National Railway Museum North East Branch and the Bishop Line Community Rail Partnership.

Steam in and around Darlington

Speaker Chris Nettleton will explore local railway history with a presentation, including moving film and sound. The main topic will be the period 1958 to 1966 at Darlington Bank Top Station and North Road Works. Chris will also look at links in the surrounding areas north to Aycliffe and south the Northallerton, east to Saltburn and West to the Stainmore Line.

Rail movements by road

Malcolm Paul's presentation looks at locomotives and other rail vehicles being delivered and removed by road from various locations, including Locomotion. This ranges from the 1970s to the present day.
