The S&DR200 Community Players are celebrating the Stockton & Darlington railway bicentenary with performances recounting the extraordinary story of the birth of the railways.

This new period costume drama tells the extraordinary story of the birth of the railways. Immerse yourself in the history, learn about the highs and the lows, and experience the journey that signalled the birth of the modern railway and changed the world forever.

Follow key characters including the Pease family, George Stephenson and colleagues, banker Jonathan Backhouse, Martha Howson (the first lady of the railways) and numerous notable businessmen and S&D company shareholders on their challenging journey to success.
