Dogs are permitted on the museum’s outdoor footpaths, but must not be left unattended at any time. Dogs are not permitted in the children’s play area or in the museum building—with the exception of assistance dogs.

Locomotion is easy to reach by train, car, bus or on foot.

Café opening times are 10.00 to 16.00 (summer), 10.00 to 15.30 (winter) for drinks, ice cream, cakes and hot and cold sandwiches.

Yes, the café offers a selection of individually wrapped gluten-free cakes.

You are welcome to bring your own food. Picnic areas are easy to find inside and outside of the museum building.

Yes, the shop in Main Hall is open during museum hours.

Toilets and baby-changing facilities are available in Main Hall and New Hall.
