Borrow our activity bags containing fun challenges to ignite curiosity about STEM as you explore our locomotives. This self-led activity is for EYFS children and takes place in Main Hall only.
You’ll collect the activity bags from our welcome desk and they are yours to use for the timeslot shown on your confirmation email. At the end of the allocated time, please check you have collected together all the components and return the bags and all their contents to our team, ready for the next school to use.
Have fun rolling a die to reveal a letter—S, T, E, A or M. See which letter the die lands on, and then complete the linked activity.
S – Science: Find out how a steam engine works.
T – Technology: Press the sound hexagon, listen to the sounds, and go to where the sounds can be heard.
E – Engineering: Be an engineer and use our construction kit.
A – Art: What can you draw? Maybe a whole locomotive, or a locomotive part.
M – Mathematics: Look for shapes in our vehicles, and add together some vehicle numbers.
